Spent the better part of the day at B&L's shop in Beaumont, Texas. Got the truck lubed, poked, and prodded. Still don't have it inspected (B&L can't do it; USX has to). Cruise control is still broken (would have required more of a time investment than we could afford).

Rusty & Mel have quit B&L. They left last week. They're the ones who got us on with B&L. They left because of the same issues we're having.

We sat around for awhile with Mike Crosby (who does the maintenance), Mr. Bill and Mrs. Linda Geaslin. Damn it all! We like these people, and we both felt like Judas sitting there, talking to them, knowing that we were planning to leave.

By the time we were rolling, Mara summed it up for both of us by saying that leaving them felt like leaving family. So we're kind of thinking about staying on with B&L.
