I've spoken to Patty a few times since. She called around 5:00 while she was on the road, and she just called from Albany, around 8:53. The asshole is home, I think. Patty says she was hung up on the first time she called, but rounded up some change and called again. Faith is now on her way to get them.
Jesus. Talk about living on the edge.
Patty is supposed to call me when she gets to Faith's house, but I'm leaving that in the air. She can only call if things aren't too disastrous. That's a worrying thought. I feel better knowing that Patty is in Albany. She took her middle son, Billy, and her youngest, Jason, with her, but I really have my doubts as to what they can do if things get nasty. Maybe if the swarm him en masse, they could do something. There's an image. Faith, her three kids, Patty, and her two kids, swarming over Paul and beating the living shit out of him.
I suppose I'm waiting again.
For my own part, I'm beginning to hustle to try getting some money together. Faith may not be able to leave with much, if any, and that would essentially cripple us in St. Augustine unless I can scare up something. I've put out some feelers. Art Mauney has said that I could put some things on the bulletin board at Hames Music. I've let some messages elsewhere. Hopefully I can get something going. There's little else I can do tonight, I think. If after Patty calls things are not too stressed and they make no immediate plans to call me back, I'll call around again. If not I'll put it off until tomorrow.
Another question has been resolved. I asked Faith if she wanted me to wait on my end. In reference to PJ and all that is happening. She said no. So we're still on schedule, for the moment.
I guess all I can do is wait and hope ... and dream.
