Mama's birthday

I'm still home. I haven't mentioned much about this because I really didn't know how long I'd be home. But I certainly didn't expect to be home on Mama's birthday. Ok, here's what happened. We expected the truck to be ready to go sometime toward the end of last week. But it took longer than expected to get the parts for the front end. So then we expected it to be ready last Monday. The parts came in, but when they went to put them on the truck, they were the wrong parts (our VIN number listed a different front end). So they had to order more parts, this time from the manufacturer. We're still waiting for those parts.

Not that I mind. It was nice to be home for Mama's birthday. We didn't buy her anything this year. Well, we did. Some flowers for the yard and some ink for her printer. But there were no cuddly bears or greeting cards. That was my decision. I've really been struggling with what to get Mama for her birthday. Nothing fit. So in the end I decided to write her something from my heart. Mama will treasure that more than any bauble I could buy her. Hopefully Mama will feel the same way.
