Coming up on Vicksburg, Mississippi. I haven't been driving long. I've been thinking about recording and some of the things I need to buy. I've broken it down to between $2,000-3,000, which is an amazing sum when you consider that at one point the keyboard I wanted alone was $3,400. Poor Mara has heard me parse this stuff so much that her eyes glaze over when I start. Suffice it to say that I'm somewhat proud that I could pare it down this far and still, I believe, record at professional studio quality. It not only fits in with our new financial realities, but it makes this seem more attainable than ever. That gives me hope. I need hope.
