Salisbury, North Carolina.

Getting ready to pull out from the Wilco truck stop off of exit 71 on I-85. Have a load headed for Minnesota (where it's been snowing for several days). Just my luck, huh?

Mara is in Kings Mountain. We brought a load over from USX's terminal in Tunnel Hill, Georgia, which delivered in Coats, North Carolina. Since it went near the house, she got me to drop her off so that she could have a little extra Xmas time. I'm still out here because I asked to be. The Coats load was probably supposed to be our home routing. But we just don't have any money, and I refuse to go home for Christmas with empty pockets. Going to Minnesota and back will put a couple hundred dollars in our pockets (from advances). Plus, while we won't get paid much, we should be getting a little from B&L this Friday.

As for B&L, we've pretty much decided to go back to U.S. Xpress. I'll probably jabber about the reasons later on. For now, suffice it to say that it's a done deal.

Now. Let's go see if I can make it to the rest area on north I-77 before my upset stomach catches up to me. Gonna have to cover over 1,600 miles by tomorrow morning, so I hope I don't have to stop too much.
