I've closed my Delphi account. I've said my goodbyes.

Its interesting, though, that I should meet another lady friend before closing it. She lives in Wilksboro, which is about 40 miles north of here. Her name is Tammy, and I'm supposed to talk to her tonight around 8:00.

Believe me, I've learned my lesson. There will be no $500 phone bills here, nor trips to WIlksboro. I just met an interesting lady and would like to hear her voice. I exchange addresses with her and with Derrick, another online friend. Derrick wants to be a preacher. He's a longtime acquaintance, who was privy to the days of Faith and Patty. I want to send him a tape of some of my songs.

Oh, well. All is done. I'm not sure I'll be able to get back on, but if I do, I'm going to leave a few last messages. Its time I closed this part of my life, having completed the task I went back to complete. I have a lot to do and a lot of things I need to get on the proverbial burners, and Delphi is simply a distraction. The joy of using it is gone. The interesting people are gone. I'm like a shadow of my former self, returning to a battlefield, and wondering where all the tourists came from.

I don't like that.
