I've decided against playing with Mike Peeler's band. I think there will be more opportunities playing with Carmen, more interesting moments. For one thing, with Carmen there will be some blues played, and I've always wanted that. I will get to sing some, most likely more than I would with Mike's band.

Plus ... what is probably the deciding factor for me ...

There are two women in Carmen's band who haven't had a lot to do with music, and their excitement about the project will be uplifting. It would be great to be in a band in which someone approached it with energy and fervor, as opposed to the old consignment I'm used to.

Basically, that's my reasoning. I would like to play with Mike again, but it seems to me that it would be far more interesting, from a band standpoint, to play with Carmen, Susan and Rick.
