Another day. I finished a portrait of two children in November. Or I thought I had. Since then, it has been deemed unsuitable for sale by Bert, mostly because she and Billy ruined the goddamned thing. I had asked them to leave it alone, but Bert had kept getting it out of the building to show to people. The inevitable result was that a spot of some sort, probably coffee, showed up on it.

These idiots think I can fix it. With colored pencils. So ...

Since I've already borrowed that money from the cafe, I'm thinking of drawing the thing again. But if I did, this time I would dare them to fuck with it or even to criticize it.

I'm also planning on drawing Whitey's picture, and the portrait for Scott Norwood of his daughter, over the weekend. I guess that would mean looking forward to a marathon of sorts.

Now ... in closing. The bass cabinet has been, more or less, prepped for the coat
of epoxy tile. I've rebuilt the missing corners with plaster, and I think they'll hold up rather well, but only time and wear will tell about that. The corners are not necessarily perfect in the dimensions, but I feel that they're close enough no one will really notice. Or so I hope, at least. I've relocated the plugs and have only to fill the old holes before I begin covering it. That's something else I hope to do today. And maybe I'll think a bit. Maybe not.

Bert informs me that I might get to go full time Monday. She says I definitely will Tuesday, thought I don't know if that's a one shot deal or simply the first of many. I do hope I can get full time soon. The bills are still mounting. Or perhaps it would be more accurate to say that the threats are mounting.

The bills are just the same old same old. Jesus. I really would like to make some sort of progress.
