Waiting ...

Greensboro, North Carolina. I'm sitting outside the gate of a shop. My company has shown its usual genius by sending about fifteen drivers to the same place at the same time for the same work. Problem is, the place isn't open yet and there isn't room outside of their gates for fifteen Freightliner trucks. I hope you see my point here.

I've been in Greensboro since early yesterday evening. On my way over to delivery they told me to drop my load at the terminal and to be here this morning. I'm supposed to get layover pay. We'll see. Either way, I've written this week off as a loss.

Well, we're inside the gate and arrayed in the shop. Even if I get out of here in a reasonable amount of time, this looks like it's going to be an all day thing. I just took a picture of the shop. There are seven trucks in here at the moment, and more outside waiting.

This is going to be a long day.
