I Don't Feel Any Safer

Greensboro. Still. I'm at the terminal. They ferried us back over here from that other shop this morning. Then I sat here all day in a conference room with a bunch of other drivers. That was kind of fun, actually. Few groups of people know how to make the most of downtime like truck drivers. And there are always a few that are going to keep everyone else laughing.

I brought my computer and made the most of my downtime by backing up more of my hard drive. Hell, I might actually be able to finish up with that this weekend. Dunno if I'll be able to finish the upgrade, though.

My truck was finally ready around 16:30 and I got back here about 17:00. Just in time to be put in the shop here for my preventative maintenance service.

I have a new high tech security system on my truck. Don't know quite what to make of it just yet. Basically it means that I have to put in a security code whenever I want to move the truck. Also means that if the truck is stolen the company can remotely shut it down. Right now I think the System is kinda cool, but we'll wait and see if it turns out to be a pain in the ass.

Once my PM service is done, it's off to bed for me. I've been up since 05:00 and I'm so tired my eyes are burning.
