Luther Vandross ... The One and Only

I just heard some guy on the radio in a truckstop who was covering a Luther Vandross song. Except for the obligatory vocal gymnastics at the end of every bar, the song was a note-for-note replica of the original. So much so that at first I thought it was the original. But a few bars into it, I realized that wasn't Luther Vandross.

All the guy did for me was make me realize what a loss Luther Vandross' death truly was. Now instead of Luther's silky, seductive voice we have these American Idol worthy histrionics. All this guy did was remind me, sadly, that there'll never be another Luther Vandross.
