The Fall of Rick Santorum?

Just saw a campaign sign for Rick Santorum near Scranton, Pennsylvania. It does my heart good to know that Right-Wing Neo-Con Bush-worshipping Satanic pawn is struggling to keep his seat in a race that everyone thought would be a cakewalk for him. It restores some of my faith in the the basic intelligence of the American people. It also proves that you cannot claim to serve the people of your state and instead serve little more than the political interests of your Neo-Conservative and Religious Right masters without being called to the carpet.

Rick Santorum's position, whether he wins or loses, should be a warning to all Republicans that the 9/11 inspired spiking of the proverbial Kool-Aid is wearing off, and a lot of Americans are waking up to the fact that so-called party of God is in fact a bunch of morally bankrupt charlatans.

See, what the Republicans have forgotten is that the mobilization of the Religious Right may have swung the balance of power to them, but those deluded people were not the only ones to vote Republican. The GOP has governed as if they were. I dare say I feel a change in the winds. Assuming, of course, that the Democrats don't follow tradition and shoot themselves in the foot.

Nice post. I appreciate the ad hominem attacks. Strangely, he survived since 2006.

Strangely, Rick Santorum was NOT re-elected in 2006, in a race that he was expected to win easily. So, politically speaking, he did NOT survive. He hasn't held political office since.
