Ghosts in Hagerstown
Hagerstown, Maryland. I stopped here to update my log. Boy, I sure feel refreshed from that ten hours of sleep that I just logged here (wink wink nudge nudge). I haven't stopped here for awhile. Mostly I've tried to avoid it ever since I spent a week here waiting for my truck to be repaired.
I'm headed to Plainfield, Connecticut, and am pre-planned on a load out of Middletown to Charlotte, NC. Another weekend is shot. But unless my company has a bright idea, I'll be home tomorrow night.
I'm getting good miles lately. Where were those miles a month ago when I really needed them? Now I'm so far in the hole there's no way of digging my way out in time. And even if I could, I know better than to expect that I'll keep running this good.
Basically, I keep re-examining the possibility of keeping the house. But it's half-assed. I've already accepted that the house is gone. At this point I'm just engaging in wistful, wishful thinking.
Well, I should git. It'll take seven or eight hours to get over to Plainfield. Then I plan to take my break at my next pickup in Middletown. A long day, any way you look at it.
