Bakersfield, California. We're sitting at a truckstop. Our L.A. area to Iowa load was taken off of us and replaced with a load from the L.A. area to New Jersey. The only problem there was that they wanted us to pick up by 05:00 local time, and it picked up 400 miles from where we were to deliver. We told them this was unlikely. Especially after we wound up having to chain to get over Donner Pass. I was on my way down to L.A. when they took that load off of us. Now we tentatively have a load out of the L.A. area to Atlanta. But they haven't sent the load info. Oh, well. I guess Mara and I will get in a little game time today.
