My final judgement on Opie & Anthony; they're unblinking Bush supporters who think Liberals don't have jobs and use phrases like "Hollywood elitists." Okay, so I wasn't so impressed with their show to begin with. I grew up listening to some of the dirtiest and most controversial comics around, so there's very little shock-jocks can say that will shock me. But I'm strange, apparently. I don't equate something being shocking with its being entertainment. Just because you've said something that some people can't believe you've said does not mean that it was funny. It can mean that you're just an asshole.

I don't know what I expected, really. I've never thought Howard Stern was funny or entertaining. It gets boring hearing him saying "can I see your tits?" You know what he's going to say. You know where he's going to go. How is it shocking? Is it shocking because he said it on the radio? Christ, I've had cable since I was a kid. Tits don't shock me. Opie and Anthony seem to be much of the same to me.

I was disappointed when regional favs John Boy & Billy started kissing the Right's ass and wrapping themselves in the flag. Now it seems that they were simply ahead of the curve. Opie and Anthony do the same thing. The last few shows I heard (courtesy of free XM Radio access (I think they're having a hard time selling the show)) sounded more like Right-Wing talk radio to me than anything shocking in the Howard Stern sense. Fucking Liberals. Fucking sissies. Etc. Etc. *Yawn*
