I tinkered with my 8-track today; just to see if it worked. A tape came with it which seemed to have something recorded on it, so I plugged it up to my 4-track's mixer to see what it was. I assume that this tape was recorded on this machine. That's a good sign. I won't really know the full extent of what doesn't work on the machine until I can plug it into an 8-channel mixer and tinker around a bit. At the moment, though, it looks like the LED meters are screwed up, but that's about it. The track select buttons seem to function, which is all I really need. If I can use it, I could care less about the LED meters. So far it looks like a great buy. I'll keep my fingers crossed until I know for sure.
