The Polymer Alliance

I'm in West Virginia. I-77 northbound, at about mile marker 117. I just passed a sign that read “Entering Polymer Alliance Zone”.

Ummm ... okay. Does this mean I should keep an eye on the hills overlooking the highway for possible attacks by the Polymer Alliance? And if so, what exactly are their goals and/or demands? And if they capture me, will I be tortured by being bonded to some other substance? Such as ... gasp ... polyester slacks?!

I can feel their eyes watching me. The Polymer Alliance is everywhere ...
