Mission Aborted
Well, I'm even more frustrated now. Went to rent the storage building and a truck. Found out that there were no large storage buildings available, although they've been telling me all along that there were. Maybe tomorrow, the guy said. He told me to call back tonight to check, that he had one that was supposed to come empty tomorrow. But he was still willing to rent me the truck. I must have given him a look, because he blushed. Come on. Why do I need the truck? I don't have anywhere to put anything.
All this creates a host of new problems. For one thing, the room that will be available is 10' x 10' room, when I had wanted a 10' x 15'. I don't know if this room will be big enough. Everyone keeps telling me it is. My response thus far has been have you seen my bedroom suite? I'll make do. What choice do I have, really? I like this location. It's secure and climate-controlled. So I'll wait until tonight, and call to see what the deal is.
This also creates some other problems. It means I'm going to be home for a bit longer. Power will be cut off by the 25th. My company is already being antsy about when I'm coming back. And I'm sort of sitting here, scratching my head. I think at this point every day I delay brings me closer to being unemployed, without power, and without food. I need to leave.
Oh, well. It'll work out like it works out. If nothing else, it gives me another day to finish packing and cleaning up. And, well, I'm sure this calls for going and beating the hell out of something in World of Warcraft tonight. B'god!
