I'm such a softie. Got kinda down when I passed a chicken truck. Poor chickens. I don't have a problem eating them, but it bothers me how we treat them. A lot of people would say that if you eat them you're a hypocrite, because their brains go largely un-used and they can't understand the point I'm trying to make.

Any human being that views a chicken or any other living creature with about the same empathy they would show to a brick is not human at all. It is our capacity for empathy that makes us human. Without it we are animals.

But looking at our history, that would explain a lot.
