At home. Getting ready to start cleaning up some of the mess I left last week. I've gone a little nuts buying things this weekend, and I need to be disciplined. I'll have to see what Mistress Mara can do about that.

We ordered Mama a sound card for her computer. I was shocked to discover that I could get her a good, basic sound card for $30. Hell, I would have replaced her sound card a long time ago if I had known that. Right now I'm updating her computer so that she can use iTunes to access the mp3 collection that we're storing on that external hard drive. Hopefully Mama will think that's cool.

I haven't played Everquest this weekend. I don't know if I'll ever play it much again. The game is so laggy for me now that it's just no fun to play. Sometimes I feel like I'm watching a series of snapshots. How much am I paying for this?

My routine will be changing next week. I'm a little apprehensive about it. On Friday my dispatcher asked me if I wanted to work local this week, be paid $14 an hour and get home every night. I jumped at it, figuring it would be a nice change of pace. Now I'm wondering if I made a mistake. I have to be in Concord, NC, at 07:00 Monday morning. That's about 60 miles. So I'm going to be home every night? That means a 120 roundtrip commute for $14 an hour. At least it'll be in an Epes truck and won't cost me anything in fuel. Who knows? I might like it.
