I just realized that I've been so carried away with my whining that I forgot to mention something really funny that happened today. This truckstop is full of U.S. Xpress trucks. So many so, in fact, that I was in a cluster of about 6-8 bobtail trucks. Well, as truck drivers will do when they're stuck somewhere, these guys made the most of it. They had a cookout on a portable grill one of them had. Well, I had music blasting on the stereo (I had my iPod on shuffle). One of them knocked on my door and asked me if I was listening to a radio station, and was disappointed when I told him it was my iPod. But he liked what he was hearing, so I rolled down my window so they could listen. I became the entertainment. Eventually someone produced a boombox and Dude talked me into letting him take my iPod outside to hook it up to the boombox (but only after he gave me his laptop computer to hold for safe keeping).
I mention this just because I thought the whole thing was funny. I was online and talking to Mara at the time, so I didn't really go outside. But once she went to take a nap I hung out a little bit. I answered a whole lot of questions about the iPod, and probably sold a couple of them for Apple Computers (I'll expect a commission). Mara says I don't socialize enough, so I tried. And I got a couple of burgers out of it.
Anyway, that was the interesting moment for the day.
