I'm a little annoyed at U.S. Xpress. They want me to go pick up an empty trailer. That's a reasonable request, but they want me to do it now. My pre-planned load can pick up anytime between now and 20:00, so I'm in no particular hurry. I kind of liked having a few hours of downtime. Now they're trying to rush me. I'm not sure why this annoys me so much. It's par for the course, and I understand it. The drones just want to make sure that I get a trailer so that they can assign the load to me. I suppose it annoys me because I don't have to have the trailer to be sent the load info. Sometimes they send it, sometimes they don't. So in this particular instance they're pushing me to go when I could just pick up a trailer on the way. I'm just not in the mood for it.

I shouldn't complain, I know. I have a load. There are probably a lot of USX drivers sitting around today because it's Memorial Day. I'm also sure that there will come a time when I'm on a solo board and can't beg a load out of these people. I guess I'm just being lazy. I've ran pretty hard and pretty conisistently. I just wouldn't mind some down time. But I suppose I should take the money and run.
