Mara and I are considering our options in regard to the truck and our jobs. Neither of us are looking forward to the inevitable spat we'll have with Ray over the truck going into the shop again. So we're considering a "nuclear option". We're thinking about finishing this load and putting the truck in the truck in Charlotte. Then when Ray pitches a bitch just tell him to flip us back to regular fleet. When the truck is fixed we'll go out as a regular team and run up until her surgery.

This would solve a lot of the logistical and insurance problems, it would let Mara enjoy her last few weeks of truck driving, and it would be an immediate relief from the assholes at our Bedford Park customer as well as from Ray's pathos. It'll put a wrinkle in Mama's plan for us to be home to look after the cats while she's in the Cayman Islands, but we have to consider the greater good here. This would make more logistical sense.

Now if we can just make it home.
