Man. We had an interesting morning. I don't think I've mentioned it, but we didn't go back to Chicago after our 4th run like we usually do. We went to Mountain Home, Arkansas. The trip over was fine, but we were supposed to pick up a trailer and load to bring back to North Carolina. I went in and signed the paperwork, but then couldn't find the trailer. Mara got up and helped me look for it. One of the employees at the plant came over and tried to find it. It wasn't there. Then he discovered a trailer that caught his attention. This bills for this trailer had been signed but the trailer was still there. So we all put 2+2 together and realized that someone had picked up our North Carolina load and took it to Laredo, Texas! We spent about 3 hours waiting to straighten this one out. Obviously we weren't going to Laredo to get the load, so we waited for Ray to get up. He put us on one of the non-dedicated loads heading back to NC, and the problem (at least on our end) was solved. The only problem was that the 3 hours put us ever farther behind schedule.
