They cut Mama's Medicaid today. She was really upset, and crying on the phone when she talked to me. Mara and I are making pretty good money, and we should be able to cover whatever needs Mama has, but she really liked feeling somewhat independent from us. This made me mad because it hurt Mama so much to realize that she doesn't matter with the Government. I'm used to being fucked by the Government, but it's something new to Mama. Quite frankly, the only people the current regime cares about are rich Republicans. To hell with the rest of us.
