Ronald Reagan died yesterday. I'd like to think that I felt something for an ex-President of the United States. But I can't. I look at what the Republican Party has become, and at the Right-Wing rampage that we're going to be paying for far into the next decade, and I have a hard time feeling any pity here. Look, the guy was 93 years old. He had a full life. I suppose I might be a little more upset if I believe the Conservative bullshit about what a great President he was. But I remember the deficits, the Iran-Contra affair, the indictments of members of his Administration, the fear of nuclear war, etc. Reagan is only seen as a good President because of a lot of revisionist history. And while I feel sympathy for any human being who has gone beyond, I am going to have a hard time missing Ronald Reagan.
