I rounded up some old games for Mara and I on the Internet tonight. She had mentioned something about she was kind of nostalgic for a game titled Vinyl Goddess from Mars. I thought it would be cool to find it for her, and stumbled across a site that had all kinds of old shareware games. In the end I downloaded Rise of the Triad, Commander Keen, Jill of the Jungle and several other games that we both used to play. But I realized rather quickly that I'm rather jaded. I ran Rise of the Triad, and quickly realized that after games like Wolfenstein 3D and LOTR: Return of the King, Rise of the Triad was embarassingly dated. It's funny that I didn't remember it like that.
