Nature's Smiley Face

The gods have a sense of humor. There's an exit in Anderson, South Carolina, where until recently they had a smiley face made up of flowers. At some point someone decided that it was silly. They pulled it up and in its place they installed this nicely landscaped area with small bushes and mulch. You know. Nicely manicured. Would fit in well at any mall.

That's what's so funny about this. Today I saw that right in the middle of their new, careful landscaping, high weeds have grown up in the shape of a smiley face.

Nature as graffiti artist. I love that.
