A little north of Richmond, working my way toward New Jersey. I'm already pre-planned on a load back to North Carolina. Good miles. It seems strange to think that next Sunday is Christmas. None of us has felt as much as a shiver of Christmas spirit. No small wonder. We have no money for gifts. Mara has filed bankruptcy. My first full check from Epes won't come in until Friday (too late to do our Christmas any good). It's just been kinda rough lately. Hopefully Mara, Mama and I can stop sniping at one another to appreciate each other. Sadly, I'm just looking forward to being off this weekend. The fact that it's Christmas doesn't enter into it.
