They just called about Mara's surgery. They've moved the appointment back to May 2nd. That's just a little over two weeks from now. That's strange for both of us. Mara's understandably worried; any surgery is a big deal. For me it's odd to think that in two weeks I'll become a solo driver and will be alone on the truck for the first time. Well, I was solo for Epes but I got home every week. This will be different. I'm going to miss Mara terribly (and Ria too). But I feel positive about this (meaning the surgery). Mara's hand has hurt her for a long time. This needs to be done. Besides, she gets to go home. Hopefully this will set the stage for both of us to go home for good.
