I just tossed a grenade at USX. Our delivery was set for tomorrow morning at 09:00. That was a 49mph average and pushing it considering we're going to be on a lot of rural routes going through small towns in Oklahoma and Texas. So naturally USX wants us there at 07:30.
I just told them not to have their hearts set on it. Admittedly half of the fun is watching the LP and CSR get worked up. After all, their handy dandy computer program tells them a 52mph average is perfectly within reason. And maybe it is if you pick up just a few miles off of the Interstate and deliver the same. Throw in some rural routes and small towns and speed zones and it's an entirely different ballgame.
