We're at Chicago Heights customer. We've both been wondering if we're about to be fired. Shortly after Ray told us yesterday to come here this morning, he wrote and told us that after our hometime we have to be routed through a terminal for "safety training".

Well, that set off our alarms. Ray certainly hasn't been happy with us lately, and we've never given him the deference he seems to expect. Throw in on top of that the fact that U.S. Xpress does nothing above board and has a history of routing drivers through terminals to fire them (to make sure they get the truck back). Like most long-time USX drivers, we're allergic to terminals; especially when our presence is requested.

Now, all that said, I'll admit that it could just be procedural. Our hazmat certifications will expire this year. This could just be USX being proactive for once. It certainly doesn't make sense to wait until after our hometime if they're going to fire us. They could just route us through a terminal on our last load or something. Unless, of course, Ray just wants to make sure he gets all of this weeks loads first.

Gods, I hate working for a company where you can't trust anybody.
