I read today that Yasser Arafat is sick, and that there is supposition that he may not survive. May the gods forgive me, but I can't help thinking that his death might be a good thing. This is not an anti-Palestinian sentiment. It seems to me that if some of the old dinosaurs like Arafat (and Sharon, etc) were to die out, the younger generations might be able to find a way to make peace.
