Mara got scammed by a DMV cop today just north of Marion, NC. He claimed that she was doing 65 in a 50 mph zone (which she was not). I imagine, with all the trucks that travel 226, that this is a pretty lucrative scam. It's a given that we'll be hiring a lawyer to fight this. The DMV cop said that the D.A. would probably reduce it. Mara and I both were like "reduce it?" bullshit. We want this dismissed. Man, I hate cops. The DMV is such a fucking racket.
